Braga bring in two players

SC Braga have made a late foray into the transfer market hours before the window closes, securing the services of Polish striker Marcin Chmiest and Brazilian left-back Jorge Luiz.

Prolific scorer
Chmiest, who will turn 28 on 12 February, arrives from Polish First Division side MKS Odra Wodzislaw Slaski boasting a record of nine goals in 14 appearances in this season's Ekstraklasa, making him the Polish top flight's top scorer at the halfway point. Described by his new employers as "strong in the air and with a fierce right-foot shot", Chmiest began his career with KS Hutnik Kraków before spells with GKS Belchatów and Legia Warszawa.

Jorge Luiz returns
Jorge Luiz, 30, returns for a second spell at Braga having spent three seasons with the Portuguese Liga side between 2003 and 2006. The defender moved to FC Dinamo Moskva in the winter transfer window last year but made only six Russian Premier-Liga appearances during his year in Moscow. Braga, who face Parma FC in the UEFA Cup Round of 32 next month, have not revealed details of either player's contract or transfer fee.
