Poland 1-0 Norway
UEFA EURO 2012 co-hosts Poland secured a second 1-0 win in the space of four days with Robert Lewandowski's powerful strike ensuring they got the better of Norway in Faro, Portugal.

After a side shorn of foreign-based stars beat Moldova 1-0 on Sunday, Poland coach Franciszek Smuda had his full squad to choose from against Norway, but they survived an early scare when John Carew headed just wide. The Poles scored the only goal of the game on 19 minutes, however, with Lewandowski's long-range effort catching Jon Knudsen by surprise in the Norway goal.

It was the Borussia Dortmund player's tenth international goal and further cemented the 22-year-old's reputation as his nation's finest striking prospect in many years.

Norway hit back and came close two minutes before the break when Brede Hangeland headed just off target. They were also in the ascendant after the interval, with John Arne Riise testing Wojciech Szczęsny twice in the space of five minutes around the hour mark. Poland weathered the pressure, though, and the Arsenal FC goalkeeper, earning his second cap, was not significantly tested thereafter.
