AS Roma striker Mirko Vučinić was voted Montenegrin player of the year for the fourth time.

Vučinić, previously first in 2006, 2007 and 2008, won 112 points in a poll involving the coaches and captains of the country's 12 top-flight.clubs. The 27-year-old forward scored the winners in Montenegro's 1-0 UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying defeats of Wales and Switzerland, helping his nation to hold first place in Group G with ten points from four games.

FK Budućnost Podgorica forward Ivan Vuković topped the poll as the best domestic player for the second straight year; having struck 20 goals last season he has already registered 12 this term. "I feel very proud to be confirmed as the best player in Montenegro," the 23-year-old said. "I hope next year it will be someone else, as my wish is to go abroad and to prove my qualities in a stronger league."

Nebojša Vignjević was named as best coach for leading FK Rudar Pljevlja to the domestic double. "Four years ago I came from Serbia and now, after I have received this award, I can say that it was a great decision," Vignjević said.

The Football Association of Montenegro (FSCG) also gave special awards to three talented teenage players: 19-year old FK Partizan defender Stefan Savić, FK Budućnost Podgorica forward Stefan Mugoša, 18, and FK Lovćen midfielder Andrija Kaludjerović, 17.
