The general secretaries of UEFA's 53 member national associations met at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland, on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Close and crucial relationship
The two-day gathering served to give the national associations up-to-date information about UEFA's current activities. UEFA, as European football's governing body, shares a close and crucial relationship with the national associations, who are the governing bodies of domestic football across Europe. The meeting also provided the associations with the opportunity to give UEFA their views and advice on issues of mutual interest.

Financial Fair Play concept
Association general secretaries were briefed, among other things, about UEFA's Financial Fair Play concept, approved by the UEFA Executive Committee last month with the well-being of European football as its objective. EU matters and relations between UEFA and European football stakeholders were also on the agenda, as well as UEFA's new Betting Fraud Detection System – introduced as part of UEFA's determination to tackle corruption in football.
