The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body has announced its decisions in relation to the UEFA Champions League match between FC Basel 1893 and CFR 1907 Cluj on 23 November.

The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body has announced its decisions in relation to the UEFA Champions League Group E match between FC Basel 1893 and CFR 1907 Cluj in Basel on 23 November.

Former CFR Cluj coach Sorin Cârţu has been suspended for one UEFA club competition match. The suspension applies to the next UEFA club game for which Cârţu would carry out his function.

Cârţu, who was facing charges of improper conduct, was also fined €10,000. The Control and Disciplinary Body heard that Cârţu damaged the dugout shelter, and CFR Cluj must contact the Basel club to settle the damage caused.

In addition, CFR defender Felice Piccolo, who was sent off for assault in the 88th minute of the same match, has been banned for three UEFA club competition games. He will miss the Romanian team's UEFA Champions League home fixture against AS Roma on 8 December.

Appeals may be lodged against the rulings within three days of the dispatch of the reasoning for the decisions.
