Denmark will host the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship (©sportsfile)
Players are eligible to play in the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship if they were born on or after 1 January 1988.
The ten qualifying group winners and four runners-up with the best record against the teams first, third, fourth and fifth in their sections advance to the play-offs, where seven two-leg ties will decide who joins hosts Denmark in the 2011 finals. The play-off draw will be seeded according to coefficients from results in 2007/09 and 2009/11 qualifying and teams cannot meet sides they faced in their group.
