The top team from each UEFA Women's Champions League group will join the clubs given a bye past the qualifying round in the knockout Round of 32.
If two or more teams are level on points they are split by (a) higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question, (b) superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in question, (c) higher number of goals scored from the group matches played among the teams in question, (d) superior goal difference from all matches played, (e) higher number of goals scored from all matches played, (f) higher number of coefficient points accumulated by the club in question, as well as their association, over the previous five seasons, (g) drawing of lots.
If two teams who have the same number of points and the same number of goals scored and conceded play in their last group match against each other and are still equal at the end of said match, the ranking is determined by a penalty shoot-out rather than the above criteria. This will only be necessary if the ranking is required to decide a group winner.
