Matches in the preliminary, main and elite rounds of the UEFA Futsal Cup are staged under the mini-tournament format, with teams playing their group rivals once on a round-robin basis. One of the competing sides in each section acts as host. The top team from each preliminary round group will go forward to the main round. The top two teams in each main round section will then progress to the elite round, where just one team from each group will ultimately win through to contest the ‘final four’ stage.
